Gender Audit

The DEO has ordered a gender audit of all schools to prevent gender discrimination.  As part of this order, each school will have to check the physical environment of the school, the educational environment, the interaction between the teacher and the student.  SCHOOL Schools will have to put up a list of issues to be checked on the notice board of the school.  The DEO's circular instructed to place a complaint box in the school to listen to the complaints of gender bias, if there is any complaint, it should be disposed of by the female teacher, and the personal questions of the students should be resolved.  It is also advisable to do it in the presence of students.  Schools will have to check the following issues: Whether there is a place for women in the quota of dignitaries in the school or whether there is an arrangement to make sanitary napkins available to the students.

The circular of Aslam Kaag DEO office has instructed to put a complaint box in the school to listen to the complaints of gender bias, if there is any complaint, it should be disposed of by the female teacher, the personal questions of the students should be resolved.  It is also advisable to do it in the presence of male and female students.  Schools have to check the following issues: whether there is a place for women in the photo of the dignitaries posted in the school, whether there is an arrangement to make sanitary napkins available to the students, whether their problem is discussed by the female teachers with the students.  Whether the library, computers, exercise and other equipment are used by the students in the classroom and in the prayer hall. There is no bias in the school.  Whether or not sports games are jointly organized for male and female students..

A gender audit will be conducted from time to time. The audit will be conducted by the Women's Study Center of the University.  90 It is worth mentioning that MS University is one of the very few universities in the country where the number of female students is more than the number of boys studying.  Gender audits will be conducted to find out whether the courses run in the various faculties of the university include gender equality as well as what kind of facilities are available to boys and girls.  Prof. Shaguka Kapadia, Senior Professor, Women's Study Center, says that the Vice Chancellor has given the green signal to the Gender Audit.  The opinion of the girls and boys studying will also be known.
