Shala Swachhata Action Plan

Swachhta (Cleanliness) is everyone's business and Ministries /Departments of the Union Government can play a substantial role in facilitating it. Hon'ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi Swachhta Action Plancalled upon all Ministries/Departments to bring Swachhta as an element in their schemes and activities so that each of them and the institutions, corporations and offices under them can contribute to achieve Swachh Bharat.

Acting on Prime Minister's this vision, the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation (DDWS), Ministry of Jal Shakti being the nodal Department coordinated with all Ministries/Departments to finalize and collate their Swachhta Action Plan (SAP). In the financial year 2017-18, 76 Ministries/Departments have earmarked funds worth 5248 crore rupees for their swachhta plans. Each Ministry/Department has started implementing its SAP from 1st April 2017.

The object behind this portal is to highlight the contribution and efforts proposed by 76 Ministries/Departments of Govt. of India. Progress in implementation of Swachhta Action Plan can be tracked and monitored by MDWS, the Committee of Secretaries, Cabinet Secretary and the Prime Minister's Office. Presently the portal is being accessed by all 76 Ministries/Departments to upload their SAP with budget, activities, photographs, reports.

Swachhta Action Plan heralds a milestone in the functioning of the whole Government in terms of each Ministry taking up accountable and Budgeted Swachhta action plans in line with the Hon'ble Prime Minister's vision. The concept behind the SAP portal can be seen as adding a Swachhta Action Plan transparent, time-bound, dynamic and Inter- ministry dimension towards realizing a Swachh Bharat.

This app is developed for Government of Gujarat under an ongoing project for improving school sanitation.

The app will be used for purely academic purposes of collecting information on school sanitation and training teachers on sanitation.

The Swachhta Action Plan (SSG) App l is developed to achieve the following objectives:

To Access / Update the real time information on WASH performance of all schools in the State.

Use reports generated for improvement, planning & decision making.

E-Learning modules on WASH in Schools for teachers

Enhance understanding, ownership & performance of schools and key stakeholders about WASH in schools.
